Mentrix, the Iranian-born electronic music artist renowned for her compelling blend of traditional folk rhythms and modern electronic beats, took on the soundtrack of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, part of Ubisoft’s hit Prince of Persia series, together with Gareth Coker.
This ambitious venture sees Mentrix (Samar Rad) infusing the game's musical landscape with her signature style - a rich tapestry of propulsive rhythms and evocative tonalities that pay homage to her Iranian roots. Having split her upbringing between Iran and France, the now Berlin-based artist Mentrix's work is an embodiment of her ability to seamlessly blend diverse cultural elements, creating a dynamic sonic palette that is evident in her past releases, including her debut album ‘My Enemy My Love’.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a 2.5D side-scrolling action-adventure platform game, offers a perfect canvas for Mentrix's lush, intricate soundscapes. Her contribution to the soundtrack promises to elevate the gaming experience, immersing players in the game's rich, fantastical world with a score that echoes the game's narrative depth and adventurous spirit.
As the founder of House of Strength Records, Mentrix's role in this high-profile project not only highlights her exceptional talent but also underscores her commitment to breaking barriers and inspiring fellow female artists.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on January 18.
