Omar Souleyman and Nazar Al Fares team up for “Sayir”

Syrian electro dabke legend Omar Souleyman has released a collaborative single with Iraqi poet and journalist Nazar Al Fares.

Titled “Sayir”, which translates from Arabic to English as “coming soon”, follows Omar Souleyman’s 4th studio album “Salon” that came out in 2019. “Layle”, one of the tracks in the album, was later remixed by Boys Noize the following year.

Known as a popular wedding singer in his homeland, Souleyman's profile has grown rapidly in the dance music world, having chalked up releases with Monkeytown Records, The Trilogy Tapes (in collaboration with Palace Skateboards) and the aforementioned Mad Decent.

The artist’s new collaborative track is accompanied by an official video which features Iraqi dancer Dado Murad. The video is available on YouTube and is linked below.
